Case study: NHG

“Sanctuary Housing were really impressed with what they heard and saw. In fact, they said our presentation was the most professional presentation they’d ever seen.”

Roy Edwards, Marketing Team Leader, NHG

Learn how we positioned industry leader NHG head and shoulders above the competition to win a major contract with Sanctuary Housing, as well as rebranding the company to make its offering much clearer.

The business

Established care equipment and consumable providers for over 30 years, NHG have the experience and expertise to help deliver outstanding results in this sector.

Whether that’s transforming a space into a beautiful environment, increasing operational efficiency or getting clued up on issues of compliance, customers will have a partner to make it happen with NHG.

The challenge

NHG approached us in December 2014 to help them with a pitch for one of their key prospects, Sanctuary Housing. Following a number of discussions and face-to-face meetings, Sanctuary Housing, which is part of the wider Sanctuary Group, provided NHG with a comprehensive brief to work to.

With the pitch presentation date scheduled for mid-January, (plus, Christmas taking place in between) we needed to act swiftly. Did the tight turnaround put us off? Of course it didn’t!

Likewise, the existing NHG brand was visually strong and appeared professional; however, it incorporated nine individual silo brands in total, which added a perceived barrier to the silos working together.

Upon critiquing the client’s existing websites, we found they didn’t encourage cross-selling either. It also wasn’t clear that NHG also has a MediRehab and Care Context offering.

The solution

Our creative and content teams quickly set to work on providing the client with what they needed, which was a:

  • Removal of silo brands, making it clearer for people to easily understand NHG’s offering and eliminate any unnecessary confusion and complexity
  • User-friendly website, clean and simple in design, that stands out from the competition, incorporates more natural photography and positions NHG as an established and consistent brand
  • Slick presentation that would showcase their work and credentials
  • Stylish, comprehensive brochure for them to leave behind after the pitch

“We felt that our existing material wasn’t as strong as it should be. We wanted to be able to present and leave behind collateral that made the right lasting impression for the up-and-coming pitch and future opportunities,” explained Roy Edwards, NHG’s Marketing Team Leader.

We reviewed the client’s existing pitch collateral and refined it based on our extensive creative experience.

“We’re absolutely delighted with the final outcome. Not only have we secured a major refurbishment contract, we now have peace of mind that our collateral going forward is of the highest quality and is way ahead of the competition.”
