The business

Tornado Wire is a major name in quality fencing across the UK agricultural, equestrian, forestry and infrastructure sectors.

The challenge

Faced with an evolving market and increased competition from imports, Tornado needed a new brand to communicate their heritage and expertise.

The solution

Cognition Creative developed a new logo and accompanying strapline, and recommended that Tornado brand their high tensile wire ‘Hi-Tensile Plus®’ to position it above similar products on the market.

We then designed and wrote a range of new marketing materials – including a website, brochures, direct mail pieces, in-store posters, product labels, eshots and print advertisements.

The thinking behind the rebrand was communicated to Tornado staff via a brand book with accompanying crib sheet, helping them to feel part of the change and enabling them to answer customers’ questions.

The results

After the rebranding exercise, we were tasked with supporting Tornado’s increasing success in Europe. We’ve since developed three new websites and accompanying collateral in French, German and Latvian.
